What is a hair system?
A hair system is any solution used to solve hair loss. It has many names, such as, hair piece, toupee, wigs, topper, man weave, cranial prosthisis, hair unit, etc.
Do I have to shave my hair?
Absolutely not! While there are some solutions that require you to shave, there are many that do not. During your consultation we can determine whether or not you should.
How long does a hair system last?
There are many types of hair systems made with different lifestyles and needs in mind. Some are made to be undetectable and delicate, and some are made for durability. Depending on the type of hair system you choose, they can last as up to 1 month or 1 year. It also depends on the construction of the system, and how well you take care of it.
How long does a wig last?
Wigs can last an average of 1 year. It really depends how well you take care of it. When they are well taken care of I’ve seen them last 8 years, with maintenance done in between.
Are wigs hot?
No. Wigs are made to be light, breathable and undetectable. The construction of the cap has a lot to do with it.
What is a topper?
A topper is a small piece that gives you coverage just on the top. This is perfect for someone with fine hair that struggles to get volume.
Are the adhesives safe?
Yes. All adhesives and removers that we use have been thoroughly researched and every guest gets tested for allergies. We use GhostBond, a high quality cosmetic adhesive. We care about the health and well-being of our clients, so we refuse to use adhesives with ingredients that are known to be harmful. We also have several tapes that are hypoallergenic.
